The iQOO 12, India’s inaugural smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, was recently released. It’s now available for purchase on Amazon and iQOO’s official website, with the sale officially starting today. The iQOO 12 boasts a large 6.78″ 144Hz LTPO AMOLED display, offering a crisp resolution of 2,800×1,260 pixels and an impressive peak brightness of 3000 nits. Its robust 5,000 mAh battery supports rapid 120W wired charging, although it doesn’t support wireless charging. The camera setup includes a 50MP primary lens with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with OIS and 3X optical zoom on the rear. Additionally, there’s a 16MP front camera for selfies.
Being India’s pioneer with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, the iQOO 12 operates on the Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14 right from the start. It pledges to provide three years of Android version upgrades and four years of security updates. Notably, as assured by CEO Nipun Marya, the operating system no longer includes pre-installed hot apps and games. Other notable features of the iQOO 12 include a fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers for immersive sound, and the inclusion of the Supercomputing Chip Q1.
The iQOO 12 is available in two versions: Alpha and Legend, offering two memory choices – 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB. The prices are set at INR52,999 and INR57,999, respectively.
