Nothing has just announced the date for the big reveal of their new midrange smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2a). According to the announcement image, mark your calendars for March 5th, a Tuesday, when the unveiling will take place.
The launch event for Nothing’s latest phone, dubbed ‘Fresh Eyes,’ promises an innovative perspective. The teaser image features multiple pairs of eyes, hinting at the unique rear camera setup of the Nothing Phone (2a). With two eye shapes side by side, it suggests that the primary and secondary cameras will be aligned sideways, positioned closer to the center of the phone’s back.
The phone is anticipated to be a budget-friendly addition to Nothing’s product range. Nothing asserts that this new model, while drawing inspiration from the pricier Phone (2), will also represent a significant advancement over the Phone (1) in every aspect.
The Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to have a large 6.7-inch screen with sharp visuals and a fast 120Hz refresh rate. It might run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chip with either 8GB RAM and 128GB storage or 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. For photos, it could come with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP wide-angle lens, and a 32MP selfie camera. It’s likely to use NothingOS 2.5 based on Android 14, and could have a big 4,290mAh battery with fast 45W charging. It’ll be available in Black and White colors.
Additionally, a post on Nothing’s India-specific X account confirms that the phone will launch in India simultaneously. A dynamic event page on Nothing’s website further reveals that the smartphone will be sold through Flipkart.
