At a recent event in China organized by BOE, Oppo and OnePlus, they shared important details about their next top-of-the-line phone, the OnePlus 12. They unveiled different OnePlus 12 models and confirmed important information about the phone’s display and processor.
The upcoming OnePlus 12 is set to introduce BOE’s advanced LTPO OLED displays known as the X1 Oriental Screen. These screens boast a sharp 1,440 x 3,168px resolution and can reach an impressive peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits. What’s more, they’ll be powered by Oppo’s P1 display chip. To enhance the overall visual experience, OnePlus has integrated a precise pixel-level calibration algorithm, making images look better, raising brightness levels, and reducing power usage.

Notably, these new panels have received an A+ certification from DisplayMate, signifying exceptional brightness and color accuracy. BOE’s innovation extends to efficiency too, as these displays consume 13% less power than their predecessors and are rigorously tested to last twice as long as other OLED displays. They also excel in high-frequency PWM dimming and offer blue light filtering.
The OnePlus 12 is all set to come with Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, confirming earlier leaks. Here are a few other rumored details as follows:
In terms of design, the phone will sport a large 6.82-inch 2K OLED display with a fast 120Hz refresh rate and QHD+ resolution. It will be available in two variants, one with 16GB and the other with 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and both will offer a minimum of 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
In terms of camera specifications, the OnePlus 12 will feature a 50MP main camera using the Sony IMX966 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with the Sony IMX581 sensor, and a 64MP periscope camera with 3x optical zoom. On the front, you can expect a 32MP selfie camera.
When it comes to battery life, it’s said to come with a sizable 5400mAh battery and support for super-fast 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone will also have a USB 3.2 port, an IR blaster, an alert slider on the left side, and Volume rockers on the right side. And as for the software, the OnePlus 12 will launch with Android 14 and feature OxygenOS 14 right out of the box.
