OnePlus made a grand announcement in New Delhi, revealing the latest additions to its lineup – the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R – for the global audience. Initially introduced in China as the 12 and the Ace 3 towards the end of the previous year, these phones bring no unexpected surprises in terms of specifications.

Both the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R boast impressive LTPO 4.0 AMOLED displays with HDR10+ support, offering vibrant visuals and a 120Hz maximum refresh rate. The generous screen sizes of 6.82 inches for the OnePlus 12 and 6.78 inches for the OnePlus 12R ensure an immersive viewing experience. With an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits, the OnePlus 12 ensures excellent visibility even in outdoor settings.


The OnePlus 12 is equipped with the latest 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, featuring a 30% faster CPU and 25% faster GPU compared to its predecessor. On the other hand, the OnePlus 12R runs on the 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, delivering robust performance for seamless user experiences.


The OnePlus 12 boasts a 4th generation Hasselblad triple camera setup, featuring a powerful 50MP main camera with Sony’s LYT-808 sensor at a 1/1.4″ size and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It also includes a 64MP telephoto lens with OmniVision OV64B sensor at 1/2″ size, offering 3X optical zoom and 6X in-sensor zoom. The 48MP ultrawide camera uses a Sony IMX581 sensor at a 1/2″ size, enabling breathtaking wide-angle shots and supporting up to 8K video recording at 24 fps. For selfie enthusiasts, the OnePlus 12 comes equipped with a 32MP front camera featuring a Sony IMX615 sensor at a 1/2.74″ size, supporting up to 4K video recording at 30 fps.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 12R features a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor at a 1/1.56″ size and OIS for stabilized shots. It also includes a 2MP Macro Camera for up-close photography and an 8MP ultrawide camera for expansive scenes. The front camera is a 16MP shooter, capable of recording videos up to 1080p at 30 fps.

The OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R are equipped with substantial batteries – 5,400mAh and 5,500mAh, respectively. The OnePlus 12 supports 100W SUPERVOOC wired charging, ensuring a rapid 1% to 100% charge in just 26 minutes. Additionally, it supports 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. On the other hand, the OnePlus 12R features 100W SUPERVOOC wired charging with the same charging speed but lacks wireless charging support.

The OnePlus 12 offers configurations of 12GB RAM paired with either 256GB or a whopping 16GB RAM with 512GB UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring a seamless and responsive experience.

Shipping in India from February 6 and in North America and Europe from February 13th.

For the OnePlus 12R enthusiasts, choose from Glossy Cool Blue and Matte Iron Gray, with prices starting at INR 39,999/$500 for the 8/128GB model and €699/£649/INR 45,999/$600 for the 16/256GB model. Pre-orders are open, and shipments kick off on February 6 in North America, Europe, and India.
