Qualcomm Launches Snapdragon 7+Gen2, Poco F5 and Realme GT Neo5 SE will use it

Qualcomm has announced the latest addition to its Snapdragon lineup, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset, which is designed for upper-midrange smartphones. Two major smartphone manufacturers, Xiaomi and Realme, have already confirmed that their upcoming phones will utilize this latest chipset. The Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Realme GT Neo5 SE are the models that will be powered by the new SoC.

A well-known tipster, Yogesh Brar, has also leaked that the Poco F5 is expected to launch soon with the SD7+ Gen2 chip. Additionally, Qualcomm is rumored to launch another mid-range chipset, the Snapdragon 685, which might debut on the Redmi Note 12 4G.

Poco F5 SnapDragon 7+Gen2

Chinese brand will announce Redmi Note 12 series on March 23, where the Redmi Note 12 Turbo powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, is expected to be unveiled. Unverified rumors suggest that the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will pack below features:

  • 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution
  • 120Hz refresh rate
  • 50MP main camera
  • 5,500 mAh battery with 67W charging.

The Realme GT Neo5 SE is expected to launch in April and will feature:

  • An AMOLED display
  • 144Hz refresh rate
  • 50MP main camera
  • 8MP ultrawide camera
  • 2MP auxiliary module
  • Up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage
  • Android 13 with Realme UI 4.0 on top
