Our website address is: https://www.phonecompares.com/ and our main goal is to create the best-automated phone comparison experience users can have globally!
We are using WordPress CMS and by default, when visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, like email and username. Also, WordPress by default is recording the IP address of each comment, but we have disabled that feature so we can have a more friendly privacy policy, so we don’t record any IP address.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Cookies are also saved in the browser when you select dark or white mode when viewing the website. It is a very simple cookie and does not use any kind of personal data to work.
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. We have no control over embedded content like YouTube, Twitter or Facebook.
The personal data we gather from comments (email & username) are not going to be shared in any way. This data can be seen only by PhoneCompares administrators.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
If you have left comments, you can request that we erase all of them. Comments is the only part we keep some personal data (email & username) and we have control over them. Use the contant form here if you need something like that.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service, like Akismet.
We are using Google Analytics 4 to record which articles has the most visitors and similar statistics that are recorded by default from GA4. It is also important to note that GA4, by default, is masking all IP addresses and because of that. Also our GA4 setup doesn’t share data with third-party services, and because of that, it’s not necessary to ask for consent in EU.
