The Realme GT3, first launched in China, has now been released globally at MWC 2023 event as the first phone to feature 240W charging. This phone can charge fully in just 10 minutes, making it one of the fastest-charging smartphones in the market. The Realme GT3 is essentially the China-only Realme GT Neo 5 with a new name. The company claims that its 240W system will offer the fastest charging power for years to come, as it has reached the maximum charging power possible under USB-C standards. The phone features a 4,600mAh battery, and the company says that it will hit 80% of its effective battery capacity after 1,600 charging cycles.
The brand is also offering AI smart charging tech with intelligent scene detection. The company uses different charging modes – travel, sleep, and car-based settings – in order to prevent the phone from powering up at unnecessary speeds. This means your phone will charge to 80% in some situations, such as at night, only hitting 100% just before you wake up.
C-shaped RGB light
The Realme GT3 features a Pulse Interface System, a C-shaped RGB light next to its camera, which uses different lighting effects and colors in various states. Specific charge levels cause it to flash red or purple. It’s also used for notifications and when taking photos. This is also fully customizable within the phone’s settings menu.
The Realme GT3 is equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processors, providing exceptional performance and power. The core specs of the Realme GT3 include a 6.74” display on the front, a 144Hz 10-bit AMOLED panel with 1,240 x 2,772px resolution (20:9). The camera setup features a 50MP main module (1/1.56”, 1.0µm, OIS), 8MP ultra-wide (112°) and a 2MP microscope, plus a 16MP selfie camera.
3 Major Android OS Updates
It runs Android 13 with Realme UI 4.0 out of the box. The company is also promising three OS updates and four years of security patches for the device.
The Realme GT3 will be available soon in various configurations: 8/128GB, 12/256GB, 16/256GB, and 16/512GB, plus a special 16GB/1TB variant. The 8/128GB model will go for $650. The phone will be available in two colors, Booster Black and Pulse White with matte glass bodies.
